BF Vacuum Cleaner Centre Ltd. was established in 1964 by Bert Ferguson. Previously, Mr. Ferguson sold vacuums door-to-door. BF Vacuum Cleaner Centre was the first general vacuum store in Ottawa to offer multiple lines of vacuums. In the early 1970s, the store became the first in the area to offer central vacuums, becoming the official distributor of Beam Central Vacuums in Eastern Ontario. 

BF Vacuum Cleaner Centre’s current location at 298 Richmond Road, in the village of Westboro, offers one of the largest showrooms in the area.  After the passing of Bert Ferguson in 1993, Bert’s eldest son Blair, who has over 30 years experience in the vacuum business, took over as Owner and President of the company.

BF Vacuum Cleaner Centre has remained family-owned and operated since its inception. The store carries various brands of vacuum cleaners, including Miele, Eureka, Beam, Panasonic, and Hoover. BF Vacuum also services all makes and models, in addition to stocking belts, bags, and parts for all major brands.
